Sweet citrus, savory seasonings come together in this Orange Burst Air-Fryer Salmon. The salmon cooks up tender and flaky on the inside while the orange glaze develops a glossy, slightly charred finish on the outside.
Paired with a colorful medley of Air- Fryer-Roasted broccoli, Brussels sprouts, bell peppers, and red onion, this is an easy complete dinner that's big on flavor without requiring a lot of cleanups.
Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 15–20 minutes Total Time: 30–35 minutes Servings: 4

Ingredients
For the Orange Burst Salmon
4 salmon fillets, about 5–6 oz. each
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon fresh orange zest
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon dried parsley
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
½ teaspoon kosher salt, or to taste
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon melted butter
For the Roasted Vegetables
2 cups broccoli florets
1½ cups Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
1 cup mixed bell peppers, cut into chunks
½ small red onion, cut into chunks
1–2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Make the Orange Burst Glaze
In a small bowl, combine the orange juice, honey, brown sugar, orange zest, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, parsley, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, black pepper, and melted butter.
Stir until well combined and the brown sugar begins to dissolve.
2. Prepare the Salmon
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and lightly coat them with olive oil.
Brush the tops and sides generously with the Orange Burst glaze.
Before the glaze comes into contact with the raw salmon, reserve a small portion in a separate bowl to use for finishing the salmon later.
Let the seasoned salmon rest for about 5–10 minutes while you preheat the air fryer.
3. Prepare the Roasted Vegetables
Place the broccoli, halved Brussels sprouts, bell peppers, and red onion in a large bowl.
Drizzle with olive oil and season with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Toss everything together until the vegetables are evenly coated.
4. Air-Fry the Vegetables
Preheat your air fryer or convection air-fryer oven to 390°F.
Arrange the vegetables in an even layer, giving them enough room for the hot air to circulate.
Air-fry for approximately 12–16 minutes, tossing halfway through.
Cook until the Brussels sprouts are tender and browned and the broccoli, peppers, and onions have developed those delicious roasted, slightly charred edges.
Remove and keep warm while you prepare the salmon.
5. Air-Fry the Orange Burst Salmon
Set the air fryer to 380°F.
Arrange the salmon fillets in the basket or on the air-fryer tray, leaving some space between each piece.
Air-fry for approximately 8–12 minutes, depending on the thickness of your salmon.
During the final 2–3 minutes, brush the salmon with the reserved Orange Burst glaze.
The honey and brown sugar will begin to caramelize, creating that gorgeous glossy finish and slightly charred edges.
Cook until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and has reached your preferred doneness.
G-Way Tip
Save some of that glaze for the finish!
Because the Orange Burst glaze contains both honey and brown sugar, adding too much at the beginning can cause the sugars to darken before the salmon is finished cooking.
Start with a good coating, then brush on another layer during the last few minutes. That's what helps create that sticky, glossy, caramelized Orange Burst finish.
Just remember to separate your finishing glaze before any of it touches the raw salmon.
Build Your Plate
Add a generous serving of the roasted broccoli, Brussels sprouts, peppers, and red onions to your plate and serve alongside the Orange Burst Salmon.
For an even heartier meal, add:
Baked sweet potato
Brown or wild rice
Creamy polenta
Garlic mashed potatoes
A fresh garden salad
Finish the salmon with a little fresh orange zest or a squeeze of fresh orange juice for an extra pop of citrus.
(Note) Make It Your Way
Want more heat? Add extra crushed red pepper flakes or a pinch of cayenne to the Orange Burst glaze.
Like it a little sweeter? Add another teaspoon of honey.
Want even more citrus? Finish the salmon with fresh orange zest right before serving.
You can also change up the roasted vegetables depending on what's in season. Cauliflower, asparagus, mushrooms, carrots, or yellow squash would all work beautifully.
Why You'll Love This Recipe
This is the kind of dinner that delivers a lot of flavors without making you spend all evening in the kitchen.
The salmon is sweet, savory, citrusy, and caramelized, while the roasted Brussels sprouts, broccoli, peppers, and onions bring plenty of color and texture to the plate.
Best of all, the entire meal can be prepared using your air fryer or convection air-fryer oven, making cleanup just as easy as the cooking.
Big flavor. Simple ingredients. The G-Way.
